Street Photography Sunday (Montreal Edition)

Made a day trip to Montreal yesterday. Hard to believe such a huge metropolis is only a few hours away. I will definitely be making a longer trip in the near future.

Walked around a bit…talked to a crack dealer who had a puppy Chihuahua…saw a drum circle.  Good times all around.

Embassadors

Wednesday night Bassnectar came to Burlington. I wanted to get portraits of people in the electronic music scene. Unfortunately, mother nature was not cooperating and the wind nearly blew my umbrella inside out and almost tore down my background. Here are the photos I did manage to get.

How the Concert Sausage gets Made

The entire gym is without power. 1500 people are standing around with nothing to entertain them but free beach balls and drugs. Three electricians are scratching their heads in the 120 degree room where something electrical stopped working, and The Roots’ drummer ?uest Love has missed his flight. There is no power, and potentially no band. People keep asking me when the power will be back on…as if I know.
This past Saturday was Springfest, the biggest show put on by SA Concerts (or UVM Concerts bureau as its now called). Jenna Gabriel and I are Co-Presidents of the club and had been planning the show for roughly six months. We had put together what we believed to be an awesome line up, securing both The Roots and Thievery Corporation, along with supporting bands. We were well ahead of schedule in most aspects of planning and in many senses we were on top of things. This did not however, prevent some epicly bad luck.

Shooting in the Snow

There are many things to do in Vermont when it is snowing. Shooting guns is not typically one of them.

A farm close to Burlington has a semi-legitimate gun range. Ask the owner if you can shoot and its no problem, just dont bug the cows. I will definitely be back to shoot more (it will probably just be photos next time).
